Getting started

Basic setup

What permissions should I allow when setting up Plowara?

Allow the location permissions requested by Plowara if you plan to use truck presence, route recording, auto-start, or auto-finish. For automatic features that need to work while Plowara is not on screen, Android background location access may also be required.

If you change a permission later, reopen Plowara and verify your settings before the next storm.

Where do I manage my company and team settings?

Open Company in Plowara. That area contains your profile, team members, support tools, app diagnostics, and other company-level settings available to your role.

Where can I find my Plowara version?

Open Company → Help & Support and use the diagnostic report tools. The report includes the installed Plowara version and Android/device information.

Location & automation

GPS, auto-start & auto-finish

Why didn’t a job automatically start when I arrived?

Confirm that Auto-start is enabled, Android location services are on, Plowara has the required location permission, and the property geofence is set correctly. Background restrictions or poor GPS reception can also delay an arrival event.

If the problem repeats, use Company → Help & Support → Send Diagnostic Report so support can see the app and permission state without you having to type it all out.

Why didn’t my job automatically finish after I left?

Auto-finish depends on Plowara receiving the property exit event. Verify that auto-finish is enabled, location access remains available in the background, and the phone has not restricted Plowara’s background activity. If the job remains active, finish it manually and send a diagnostic report if the issue repeats.

Why is my truck missing from the map?

Check whether the driver is on duty, whether location permission is available, and whether the phone has a data connection. If Share truck location when idle is off, the truck may intentionally disappear when it is not actively being shared. Turning the option back on should allow the current truck location to publish again.

What does “Share truck location when idle” do?

It controls whether your truck location is shared on the company map while you are not actively working a job. Turn it off when you do not want an idle truck displayed. Location may still be used for other enabled Plowara features as described in the Privacy Policy.

Does Plowara need background location?

Background location is needed for enabled features that must react while Plowara is not in the foreground, such as certain geofence arrival/exit behavior, truck presence, and route-related operations. You can review how Plowara uses location in the Privacy Policy.

Team & account

Owners, admins & drivers

How do I add a driver or team member?

Open Company → Team Members and choose the option to add a team member. The controls available depend on your Plowara role and subscription limits.

Who can see team member email addresses?

Team member email addresses are restricted in the app so they are not broadly shown to other team members. Owner-level access is used for company account administration.

What is the difference between owner/admin and driver access?

Owner or administrative roles can manage company-level information and operational setup available to their permissions. Driver accounts are intended for field operation and do not receive the same editing or account-management controls.

How do I reset a forgotten password?

Use Forgot password on the Plowara sign-in screen. Plowara will email you a secure reset link that opens on plowara.com. If a link has expired or was already used, request a new reset email.

How do I delete my Plowara account?

Use the account-deletion option available in Plowara or follow the instructions on the Delete Account page. If you cannot access your account, contact support@plowara.com.

Operations

Properties, jobs & storms

How do I add or edit a property?

Use the property controls from the map or jobs workflow available to your role. Administrative users can create and edit property information used for storm operations.

How do I archive or restore a storm?

Use Storm Management to archive older storms when you want them out of the active list. Archived storms can be viewed separately and restored when needed.

Where do I view job history?

Open the property or job menu and choose History. Completed job records provide the operational history saved for that property.

How does multi-truck tracking work?

Plowara can show participating trucks on the map so a company can see field activity during a storm. Visibility depends on the driver’s duty/sharing state, permissions, connectivity, and company access.

Maps & sync

Maps, connectivity & synchronization

Why is my map blank or not loading?

Confirm the phone has an internet connection, close and reopen Plowara, and verify Android location services are available. If one map layer works but another does not, or the map repeatedly stays blank, send a diagnostic report from Company → Help & Support.

Why is another truck or property status not updating right away?

Live updates require a working data connection. Brief delays can occur when a phone loses service or Android limits background activity. Reopen the app and confirm connectivity; if the information remains stale, send diagnostics to support.

Reports

Job and property records

How do I generate a customer or property report?

Use the report option available from the relevant property/job history workflow. Reports are designed to summarize saved service activity for the selected property and storm records.

What should I do if a report is missing information?

First confirm the underlying job history exists and the job was completed/saved. If the history is present but the report is incomplete, send a diagnostic report and describe which property, storm, or report section is affected.

Billing

Subscriptions, cancellations & refunds

How do monthly and annual plans work?

Plowara offers monthly and annual subscription options. Annual plans use the same team-member and property limits as their matching monthly tier but are billed once per year at the annual price shown before purchase.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Canceling prevents the next renewal. Unless another refund right applies, access normally continues until the end of the period already paid for. Subscriptions purchased through Google Play can be managed in the Google Play subscription center.

View Billing & Refunds.

How do refunds work?

Refund eligibility is determined by Google Play policies and applicable law. Plowara Support can help with billing errors, duplicate charges, and other account-specific billing issues. See Billing & Refunds for current information.

Privacy & diagnostics

What support can see

What is included in a Plowara diagnostic report?

The in-app diagnostic report is designed to include troubleshooting information such as Plowara version, Android/device information, relevant permission state, sync status, duty/automation settings, and recent app diagnostic state.

Does the diagnostic report include my password, customer property names, GPS coordinates, or recorded routes?

No. The support diagnostic report is designed not to include passwords, customer property names, GPS coordinates, or recorded routes. It is intended to provide technical state information needed to troubleshoot the app.

Where can I read more about Plowara’s data practices?

Review the current Privacy Policy for information about account, company, job, diagnostic, and location data used by Plowara features.

Still need help?

Send the details once.

For the fastest technical help, open Company → Help & Support in Plowara and use Send Diagnostic Report. That gives support the app and device context needed to investigate.
